What we offer

Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.

Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

Notice

The school canteen is closed momentarily as we are looking for volunteers.

Volunteer

For helping in the canteen you may volunteer (PDF 18KB) with the school. Contact the school office for more details.

The school canteen is staffed and run by parent volunteers. All profits from the canteen go straight back into the school through the parents and citizens association (P&C).

The shifts are roughly from 9:30am to 2:00pm.  We only ask for as many days as you can do even if it is only one day per term.

The day consists of sorting lunch orders and money. Putting hot food into the oven, making sandwiches, sorting lunch orders into classes and serving children at the counter.

Everything is written down explaining what to do to make it as simple as possible.  You will be trained by one of our lovely ladies and I am sure you will have an enjoyable experience and lots of laughs.

The students love having their parents work in the canteen. If you have a child in the infants your help is invaluable and your children love knowing you are helping out.

Please use 2 lunch bags when ordering hot and cold food items and exact money is appreciated. Lunch orders are placed in the lunch orders box located in the office and will be collected for processing after morning assembly.

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.
