Library

We are proud of our well-resourced Library that provides for a wide range of interests and reading levels across the curriculum. Every class has a library lesson each week, where a library bag is always useful. Children are encouraged to borrow and return books each week.

Overdue notices are sent via email. If you have any queries please email the school and write Megan Hall in the subject line and it will be forwarded on.

The library is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes for playing board games, drawing, reading or other quiet activities.

Chess club is run during the year with a competition for Years 3 to 4 and another for Years 5 and 6.

The library offers the Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) to all students. Classroom teachers manage the PRC for K-2 students. Years 3-6 students are challenged to read 20 books each year. The new student PRC website is available to record your book list. Please check out the above links for rules and information or come and see Megan Hall our Teacher Librarian.

Student leadership opportunities are available through the Library Monitor Program.

Volunteering is always appreciated in the library if you are willing and able to cover books or sell books at our annual book fair at the end of Term 1.
