What we offer

Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.

Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

The school canteen is staffed and run by parent volunteers. All profits from the canteen go straight back into the school through the parents and citizens association (P&C).

If your child has a peanut allergy - Glenbrook Canteen is a nut free school. Please use 2 lunch bags when ordering hot and cold food items and exact money is appreciated. Lunch orders are placed in the lunch orders box located in the office and will be collected for processing after morning assembly.

The school canteen is closed momentarily as we are looking for volunteers. For helping in the canteen you may volunteer (PDF 18KB) with the school. Contact the school office for more details.

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.

Learn more about the NSW Department of Education’s School Uniform Policy.

Check out the uniform price list (PUB 123KB) before placing orders with the school uniform shop. Lunch Wallets (PDF 173KB) are also available for $10. The uniform shop is open for business on Thursdays. For the first Thursday of the month uniform timings are from 8:30am to 9:10am for the rest of the Thursdays the timings are from 3pm to 3:40pm.

The service is run by volunteers. If you would like to become a uniform shop helper, please feel free to contact the school office. We may be looking for a new uniform coordinator for 2019.
